Sending Packages in Bulk and Tracking Customer Acceptance

Packages let you bundle your recurring services into ready-to-sell offers — think seasonal lawn care plans or full-service maintenance agreements. Once your packages are built, the Bulk Send feature lets you get them in front of multiple customers at the same time, saving you hours of manual outreach.

This article covers how to bulk send packages and what happens after customers receive them.

Before You Start

Make sure you have at least one package set up under Packages. If you haven't created one yet, check out the Service Packages article first.

You'll also want your customer list populated — bulk send pulls from your existing customers in Lawnager.

How to Bulk Send a Package

  1. From the left sidebar, go to Packages.
  2. Find the package you want to send and click on it to open it.
  3. Click the Bulk Send button in the top-right corner.
  4. A customer selection panel will appear. Use the search bar or scroll to find customers, then check the box next to each customer you want to include.
  5. Review the list — make sure you're only selecting customers the package applies to (e.g., don't send a spring cleanup package to customers in a different service zone).
  6. Click Send Package to deliver the package to all selected customers.

Each selected customer will receive the package through their Client Portal, where they can review the details and respond.

Tip: You can filter your customer list by tags or recent activity before bulk sending to target the right segment.

What Customers See

When a customer receives a package, it appears in their Client Portal under an active notification. They can:

  • Review the package name, included services, and pricing tiers
  • Accept the package to lock it in
  • Decline if it's not the right fit

Once a customer accepts, Lawnager records their acceptance and the package status updates on your end automatically.

Tracking Acceptance Status

You don't have to chase customers down manually — Lawnager tracks responses for you.

  1. Go to Packages and open the package you sent.
  2. Scroll down to the Sent section (or click the Recipients tab if visible).
  3. You'll see each customer listed with one of the following statuses:
    • Accepted — customer agreed to the package
    • Declined — customer passed on it
    • Pending — no response yet

Use this view to prioritize follow-up conversations with customers who are still Pending.

After a Customer Accepts

Once a package is accepted:

  • The agreed services are on record and can be used when creating jobs for that customer
  • You can reference the accepted package when building quotes or scheduling recurring work
  • The customer's acceptance is logged in their profile for your records

Note: Accepting a package does not automatically create jobs or invoices. You'll still create jobs manually (or via scheduling) based on the agreed services.

Common Pitfalls

  • Sending the wrong package to the wrong customers — double-check your selection before hitting Send Package. There's no way to unsend once it's delivered to the portal.
  • Customers not seeing it — if a customer hasn't verified their portal access, they may not receive the notification. Make sure they've completed portal verification first. See Portal Invites & Verification for help.
  • Confusing packages with quotes — packages are pre-built bundles for repeat business. If you need to price a one-off job, use the Quotes flow instead.

Quick Tips

  • Use tiered pricing within packages to give customers a good/better/best choice — this can increase your average sale.
  • Bulk send works great at the start of a new season when you want to re-engage your existing customer base fast.
  • Check your Marketing Automations to see if you can pair a bulk send with a follow-up message for customers who haven't responded after a few days.
