- Service providers — with vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, SMS messaging, payment processing, analytics) under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Your customers — when you use the Service to send notifications, invoices, or quotes, the relevant customer-facing information is delivered to your customers via the portal, email, or SMS.

Mobile information, phone numbers, and SMS opt-in / consent data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This category of data is excluded from any sale, lease, rental, or sharing for marketing, and is only disclosed to our SMS delivery vendor (Twilio) under contract solely for the purpose of transmitting messages you or your customers have consented to receive.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Customer data you enter is retained until you delete it or close your account. After account closure we retain data for up to 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted unless retention is required by law.
Backups may retain data for an additional 30 days after deletion from production systems.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. 8. SMS Communications
Lawnager operates two distinct SMS programs: (A) messages sent by service providers to their own customers through the platform, and (B) messages sent by Lawnager to lawn-care business owners for sales, onboarding, and product updates. Both programs follow the disclosures below.
8.1 Customer-Facing SMS (Service Provider → Their Customers)
When a service provider or their customer provides a mobile number through Lawnager, that number may be used to send transactional SMS (e.g., job reminders, arrival alerts, invoice notifications, payment confirmations, appointment confirmations) and, where the recipient has opted in, marketing SMS (e.g., service offers, seasonal promotions, re-engagement messages).
8.2 Lawnager Sales & Onboarding SMS (Lawnager → Business Prospects and Users)
Lawnager sends outbound SMS to lawn-care business owners (B2B only — no consumer messaging) for sales follow-up, demo scheduling, onboarding nurture, trial check-ins, and product updates. Recipients are sourced through two channels:
- Web form opt-in— prospects who submit the demo-request form at lawnager.com/demo and check the SMS-consent box, which reads: “I agree to receive SMS from Lawnager about my account, demos, and product updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our privacy policy and terms.” Consent is recorded with a timestamp on the prospect’s lead record.
- Publicly-listed business outreach— for initial cold outreach we source phone numbers from publicly-available business listings (via the Google Places API). We message only verified business phone numbers belonging to lawn-care companies; we do not contact personal cell numbers or consumers. The first message identifies Lawnager by name, references the recipient’s business, and includes “Reply STOP to opt out” so recipients can immediately decline further contact.
8.3 Message Frequency, Rates, Opt-Out, and Help
Message frequency varies based on the program and recipient activity (e.g., stage of sales conversation, scheduled service, billing events). Message and data rates may applyper the recipient’s mobile carrier plan.
Opt-out: Reply STOP, STOPALL,UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END,QUIT, or REVOKEto any SMS message at any time to immediately unsubscribe from that sender’s program. Reply HELP or INFOfor assistance. Opt-out requests are processed in real time and honored permanently for that phone number against that sender.
8.4 Non-Sharing of Mobile Information
Mobile information, phone numbers, and SMS opt-in / consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This applies to both Lawnager’s direct messaging programs and to numbers provided by service providers and their customers. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to our SMS delivery vendor (Twilio) under contract for the sole purpose of transmitting consented messages, and (for customer-facing SMS) to the originating service provider who collected the number.
8.5 Carrier Liability and Contact
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you have questions about SMS from a specific service provider on the Lawnager platform, contact that provider directly. For questions about Lawnager’s own SMS programs (sales, onboarding, account) or platform-level privacy questions, contact privacy@lawnager.com.
